Brewing Sugar is suitable for all home brewing – both beer and wine, for both the primary fermentation and final priming for beers – whether finished in bottles or a barrel.
Brewing sugar is in the form of dextrose and differs from household sugar in that it will start fermenting quicker and more cleanly. Household sugar takes longer to be absorbed by the yeast and produces bi-products and impurities which can have a taste that may affect the final product.
